IPA Student Scholarship

Purpose

The scholarship is to support pharmacy education of current IPA student members and to encourage continued active participation within IPA during pharmacy school and as career pharmacists. Involvement within IPA is defined as active participation and support of the following: annual trade show, comedy night, casino night, membership engagement, and any other IPA sponsored events.

Criteria

Applicant must:

Be a currently active IPA student member
Have a GPA≥3.0 and be in good academic standing at a school/college of pharmacy in California.
Be actively engaged in any of the following activities: health fairs, student organizations, IPA events, advocacy efforts, leadership roles, and community focused events
Submit a Letter of Recommendation from 1 faculty member from their School/College of Pharmacy
Submit a CV/Resume
Complete application by deadline to qualify

Interviews with candidates may be conducted

Award Stipulations

5 awards given each year
$1000 for each scholarship recipient
Awards will be announced at the Annual Banquet. Winners must be present on the day.
Student members of IPA Board ARE eligible to apply and will not be excluded.
